Got bored of Gen VI and returned to play B2/W2, but still having Gen VI for the event mons. Anybody is doing the same?

I'm just past the Elite 4 in White, first time playing this gen, it's nice.

I'll do BW2 next, but I can't decide between black and white.

I did it but painfully. All the pokémon that I wanted to use in B2W2 ended up being shit or weren't availiable until post game.

I expected more but Unova really sucks. Thank god PWT exists.

In a way, buying used copies of XY/ORAS/other mainline games and seeing the old save file leave behind their old pokemon and progress is kinda sad.

I wish GF would emphasize their games' transfer value.

Me too.
As a kid, I always restarted my games before the new one came out. Zero Pokemon, starters, or events, have made it through the years. My oldest Pokemon is from XY, but I've been playing since yellow.

But all my gen 5 mons are alive and well, and I actually use them. The others are stuck in gen 6, which I haven't touched since I beat ORAS.

This is why I use flashcards or just dump the save file to my computer every so often. Too paranoid about losing my data.

Yes. Anything to kill time before they announce a new game. I'm capitalizing on the events with Y and AS while I play Black version. I only played up to the E4 on my first playthrough ~5 years ago and vaguely remember not liking it, but so far it's probably better than any of the Gen VI games. I think I gave up because my team was underleveled and I just couldn't give enough of a fuck to grind.

The oldest from Gen III I still have is a MATTLE Ho-Oh from Colosseum that I caught in 2007 or thereabouts. Wish I had transfered more of my legends and starters from Ruby and Leafgreen up through the years. It sucks knowing that if I'd just kept transferring up all my bros from 2003 I'd still have them at this point :'( I've been playing every gen since Blue released in 1998 and I don't have a single original save file left. I just deleted my file on Crystal version last summer when I replaced the battery, but even that save was only from 2009 or so.
