If he seriously believes that (and I vaguely remember him making that statement) He should at least make an "optional" challenge mode for veterans of the series.

X/Y were comically easy. I literally had to artificially nerf the shit out of my team, I mean god damn, if they're going to have "OU" equivalent pokemon before the second gym they need to compensate for that. with more Ace and Dragon trainers or something.

pic related considering they basically gave us 2 starters and a legendary before the first gym.
