I doubt Nintendo or GameFreak will ever move to competitor consoles, but it would make it a lot better if they did
>start with a remake of Red/Blue/GreenNot just a new game with the same map as the originals like FR/LG. A wide open world with a completely remapped Kanto region (cities and landmarks are in the same general place, but everything is bigger) and same general story. Also, create new Pokemon that are native to the Kanto region.
>do away with generationsAll games are now from here on out compatible through updates. There is still incentive to buy the old games.
>redo the PokedexNo numbers, all Pokemon are sorted and classified like a real biology encyclopedia. Also, you no longer have to catch a Pokemon to look them up (at least the ones native to that region).
>make moblie apps for battling and tradingGameFreak has always said they won't move Pokemon to consoles because they like the idea of being able to battle anyone else who has a Gameboy/(3)DS you come across. That excuse is kind of moot now. I'm not saying they should relase a full RPG for phones, but rather, a "Pokemon Mobile Battler" for the sole purpose of battling and trading on the go. Use a system like Pokebank to manage your Pokes through the cloud.
Maybe also release a spinoff RPG for the Nintendo handheld (assuming they still exist), but keep the focus on consoles.
