/vg/ was created because game generals were pushing other topics off of /v/ too quickly and were taking over the board.
/vp/ was created because it was a cancer that needed to be cut out.

Pokemon anime discussion occurred on a weekly basis with half the thread amounting to

/co/ was constantly getting flooded with pastel colored ponies, which eventually breeched over the flood gates.
This board is the video game equivalent of /mlp/.
We're worse than Undertale posters and we always will be.
