Turnback Cave is located at the north-central region of Sendoff Spring, which itself may only be accessed through the Spring Path. In Diamond and Pearl, in the room Giratina resides in is an inscription that implies the cave is a location where the separation between the real world and the Distortion World is weaker.

Loved the sense of mystery to the place. I remember stumbling across it as a kid and being blown away by Giratina's presence in the final room. Turnback Cave, amongst other Sinnoh locations, as a special place in my heart.

I loved the place and used to get so lost in it. Little did I realize until much later that most of the time you could literally just go straight upwards everywhere possible and still get to Giratina before the room limit

This place is called "Scheideweg" in German which is a fine name to be sure. Problem is, that first part can also mean "vagina" so my horny 13-year old self was never able to fully appreciate the mystery of this place without thinking stupid stuff when I played Pearl.
