The only thing that can save it at this point are moves considering it has all the abilities it can have unless they make hidden abilities for megas or something. Kind of sad too one of my favorite pokemon.

There, one move and now it's not just a shit Aggron, capable of carrying a metric fuckton as a wall and patches up much more of Steelix's problems than anything else can in a single swoop.

If we want to get maximum-overchristmasland, an attack that calculates damage using Defense.

None of these will ever happen, mind, getting a bad Mega used up all the attention Steelix needed for actual bandaids on its problems.

This is an awful idea. I would still love it if it happened. If only to see more fortunate types like steel suffer. The thing that still pisses me off about stealth rock is that it doesn't just do x2 to anything immune to ground in some way and instead makes bugs and ice types shittier while levitators like Gengar pretty much get a free pass. Good going GF.

Wall Buster: steel type move, deals damage based on the user's defense compared to the defender's defense.

User has greater defense: 120 bp
User has near-equal defense: 80bp
Target has greater defense: 60bp

make Gyro Ball increase with lower speed (same with Electro Ball and higher speed) in an absolute way instead of it being relative

That's redundant and dumb. Just have the attack's damage scale off the user's defense value, that way it's more useful in more situations, rather than completely wrecking pokemon with low defense, and being useless against those with high defense.
