But it still held true in Gen V, in fact Gen V as a whole was pretty simple and cartoony in comparison to Gen IV which seemed like a testing ground for more complicated designs since they were no longer on toaster tier hardware. Sure Gen V had its share of bisharps but Gen IV had its Lucarios and every other cross gen evo.

People keep shilling the new digimon game. Maybe it's good but I'll never play it since you get to have a bunch of creatures which makes sense in pokemon but not digimon. To me digimon was all about having one digimon which was like your spirit animal. It evolves and devolves so it's like having a bunch of digimon.

+ its design is very simplistic even compared to ho-oh for example because even though it has a lot of markings on its body(which aren't that complicated to begin with) she is technically 3 circles(as in not complex shapes)

I guarantee if the bottom three were digimon, they'd be so very well received. Despite looking like shit, of course.

Hoopa is the first pokemon I refuse to have, just because of how fucking dumb it is. I do not believe in Zygarde's formes, as it only has the giant tapeworm form and nothing more. I'm fine with the robot who I already forgot the name of though, it's kinda cute.

If it didn't have those eyelash things I could at least see your point of view maybe, but come on, to say it isn't 3 times as complicated as ho-oh is just delusional if you removed the stuff on it's chest, the front of its dress and the eyelash-eyerim things then they would be comparable in terms of complexity.

I don't even hate the new legendairies, I like them but to say they aren't way more complex is just blatantly false, of course they are.
