>>25217637Gyarados is complex, but not complicated. It uses just three colours, and the majority of its segmented (where part of that complexity comes from) body is a simple repeating pattern. Its head is pretty complex, but most of its facial features either echo Magikarp's, or they are mirrored on other parts of its body.
Overall it's a pretty simple design actually.
Magiana is the opposite. It features something like five colours (I'm colourblind so I'm not sure of that). There are many patterns and shapes on its body that aren't repeated anywhere else in its design (like the shield-like shape in the middle of its dress, the cogwheel on its head, or the bunny ears). The eyes sport four colours total, crosses inside two ovals with weird eyebrows on top. Its legs have rounded points, its arms are downright pointy.
The basic design is composed of three spheres; but although its trunk looks a bit like a smaller version of its skirt, it features different colours, and has those little scale things on it, which aren't found anywhere else either.
The third sphere, the head, breaks the pattern and has none of the other two spheres' markings (mainly the Pokéball-like lines) on it, but instead it has some kind of third eye thing on its forehead.
It's a mess.
