>>25220707I never noticed this, since I took the fire starter when I played Gen4. I kind of just guessed which would be the best and I was right. Gen 3 is less bad about it, but now that I'm playing Star Sapphire I kind of see what he means, though type selection of most kinds is still atrocious in the first half of the game.
My memory of Gen5 is a little fuzzy, other than I chose Snivy for the smugleaf meme, Gen6 starters looked like fucking garbage to me, and I felt like Totodile was the only sensible gen 2 starter. I was always a Charmander fag in gen 1, and the metal claw buff made brock less of a pain.
Seriously though, why is it that Blaziken, Infernape and Charizard are so good and the other other starters have a hard time comparing?
