>>25221616Classic dungeon-crawler where you either play as the pokemon, or a trainer is only there to catch wild pokemon.
You start with a choice between three sets of three starters (eg. Choice A: Grass/Fire/Water, B: Rock/Fighting/Flying, or C: 3 Normal types)
You can set up your loadout to be your entire team all out at once, one mon at a time, and everything in between. One at a time will just mean the mobs come at you one at a time like in a trainer battle, and so on.
You can equip the pokemon with weapons and armor that alter stats by percentages and have different benefits/drawbacks (eg. Fire Mail will raise grass defense by 25% but lower water defense by 20%; Pecha Armor grants immunity to poison-type but adds a 10% decrease in defense to all other types). There is no objectively best gear.
It uses the mainline battle system but without EVs or IVs. Bosses have bullshit-high stats and minions.
Everything is catchable but the bosses. Wild mons may come equipped with armor and be harder to catch.
