Will we ever get an official World Map?
How do you guys think the world will looks like with the regions we've been given with?
Do games like Pokemon XD, Pokemon Ranger etc, count?

The game itself says there is a path that connects to Johto and Mt. Silver and that it's north Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn. Hell the very tip of Sinnoh is a snow area, which makes sense to be that far north.

No shit, the Ruins of Alph and Sinjoh Ruins are straight up said to be a blend of Sinnoh and Johto cultures. Hell they say multiple times Sinnoh is to the north of Johto and Kanto, and I recall that there was a Mt. Coronet pathway that connected somewhere to Johto or Kanto.

Sinnoh is 100% without a doubt in the North. That in-game map in Dewford Town is just bullshit, hell you can even tell that it doesn't match up perfectly as that would mean Sinnoh is actually horizontally inverted on in-game town maps, and you can tell even with the zoom in that the routes are wrong.

Not him, but I remember one of the Johto radio stations saying Sinnoh is to the north, and something about Lake Rage being to the South in Diamond.

Anon, for me this shit is practically confirmed, it's too similar with the colors and shapes to be a coincidence, all the isles and land mass are about the same.

The locations of the regions are based off of Japan. Unova is based off of NY city, Kalos is based off of France and Orre is based off of new Mexico or Arizona or some shit.

I would consider the following: Many people are involved in creating a game, the guy that was responsible for the decorations is not the same that created the lore about the Sinnoh localization, so he wasn't really aware of these minor details.

He inverted the map before putting in the portrait, and considering the low resolution of the 3DS he would never expect people to find out this.

If the map was inverted then it would mean Sinnoh is upside down, as is everywhere else.

Even then, Sinnoh connects to Johto physically, it's wrong no matter what you do. It's just a map for fluff, nothing more, it has no barring on an actual world map whatsoever.

I also didn't said that the map was made to be taken seriously, with the first part of my post I meant exactly what you said, the map has no base and it's not canon, it was just a shortcut that the designer of decorations took.
