FFS, I lost a Pokémon and caught two on Route 47.
What do? Should I just try and catch exactly the same Mons as I did before, even though they're just gonna be the same species. Also, do I just speed through the game, not taking in account any deaths up until the point where I got last time and then release the mon that died last time?
This really sucks, guess I should save every ten minutes or so

Is there any way for Sacred Gold to not inevitably crash, black screen, or freeze? I use Desmume but I always run into issues at some point and I really want to play my favorite but I always run into problems around the 4th to 5th gym.

Also, save often. Like, at least every hour or so. I just lost an hour's worth of progress. It does not crash often but when it does, there's nothing you can do.

Sacred Gold doesn't play well with patched versions and you have to apply it to a clean rom without the antipiracy patch which causes some troubles.

Made this real quick, haven't played since the start of November.

Been really lucky on getting some good Pokemon, but really unlucky in not killing 90% of them. Probably should have included their little things like "Likes to run" and shit, but I got lazy, as you can tell by the quick ass template.

Haven't had a death yet, which is more than I can say for my Y Nuzlocke that I finished ages ago.

As expected, Sabrina is giving me problems.

Thankfully, Kanto continues with no deaths.

It seems that I actually got lucky and got lower end of damage, as normal Shadow Ball once took away a bit over half of his HP.
Ironically, Zam was piece of cake.

Janie died while grinding. Trying to find a replacement Psychic type. I decided it would have to be an Abra, SO commence to gambling. After a few throws a reset and a few more Chansey came out and helped me line up the 7's, what a bro. Well I'm done gambling and starting grinding. Up next is Chuck, or the Rocket Hideout. I've just finished the route 47/Safari zone sidequest and fuck that was hard, so many double battles with a shitty partner that puts you in danger.

Passed Rocket Hideout. Lost Vampira to a self destructing Koffing it was on a 4 day bender after being kicked out of it's house after finding it's spouse in bed with another poison type. It's just for the egg moves I swear! It was bullshit, because he could have fathered a Destiny Bond Koffing and she knew it. Vampira was trying talk him out of it, there's no shame in being led on she said. The Koffing knew it couldn't let it go though. The other Rocket mons called him Cucking and in a desperate attempt to get peace it used exploded. R.i.p. Vampira.

It's a bit on the weaker side. I prefer building my team around having an answer to every one of the E4+Champ, at least when it comes to E4.

You aint got any fighting to deal with Dark, fighting would also help against the Ice lady because water moves are very common and risky for a fire type. Ghost is iffy. Sableye should be able to do something at least, but I do recall Sableye falling off lategame in my Emerald run. But ghosts could be dealt with by any other type so that's ok.

Dragon is problematic. You'd need to set up Altaria with Dragon Dance or get an Ice move. Or just power through all the dragons but I 'm not too sure about your team for that. Then of course there's Wallace. You at least need an electric move and a grass move for Gyarados and Wishcash.

Yeah that is some shit your in.

Wailord is bulky, with good offense. Would consider him since he's a pretty safe switch.

Take Lanturn man. Bulky af, good typing, Ice moves for dragons, electric for the champion, often a safe switch etc...
Flygon is also a good option, versatile.
I don't see your Pelipper being useful, nor your Kecleon tbqh. But it's your call, bring <ho you have confidence in and best of luck!

Well, the basic rules are obvious:

1. Only first catch per route.
2. Faint = death

Among more common rules are:
- Shiny clause; you can catch a Shiny if it appears (but can't use it unless you got really lucky)
- Dupe clause; ignore anything you've already caught (either entire families or only species)
- Ace clause; you cannot exceed level of the next Gym Leader's strongest Pokemon. In case of shitty level curves, like GSC/HGSS Kanto, I suggest you use something doable, like Blue. There's also DP, where Maylene and Wake have teams on the same levels, so there's that.

Probably play a game you know well.

The Bug Gym wasn't much of a challenge but the Surskit changed the plan on letting Hot Dog clean the whole room alone. I'm surprised that it doesn't learn any other offensive move besides Ember. His loss is Fluffy's gain though.

Lynne is dead, her swan song was against the Hiker's Onix in the Union Cave. Evolved her to a Beedrill and she died because I wasn't prepared with Potions. Bind was a motherfucker, and tackle didn't help matters. Her final attack was a 4 chain Fury Attack. Bugs are so fleeting.

Flygon and Lanturn for sure, Lanturn is incredible and Flygon is fast and has that oh-so-sweet Earthquake coverage. Castform can be interesting to play with, especially if you use it with Tropius, I had a neat Sunny Day/Chlorophyll gimmick in a playthrough once but it eats your TMs and I didn't do it in a Nuzlocke.

For Ghosts, I would recommend a Normal-type; they're only weak to fighting and I'm pretty sure all four of the pure Normals you have can learn Shadow Ball--Linoone is better for Speed, Exploud is better for HP, and Spinda is awesome and I recommend it, it gets a lot of fun toys. Normal-types also usually learn Fighting TMs which are a godsend against Sydney and Glacia. Torkoal and other Fire-types are usually dead weight in the Elite 4, only really useful against Cacturne, Shiftry, and two Glalies (and Torkoal's coverage is crap). I'd recommend using:

Spinda
Lanturn
Flygon
Sableye or Kecleon
Tropius or Castform with Thunder
Exploud or Claydol

Really just preference here, I don't know what TMs you have available or what your team knows. Slapping Thunder on Castform would help with Wallace tremendously, once he sets up a Rain Dance you automatically resist Water and Ice attacks (AKA all his Milotic can do) and 100% Accuracy Thunders can fly.

Sturdy is still a very common ability, toxic spikes are great. There's plenty you can do with Forretress, good luck catching a Pineco. They always explode, throw a Great Ball and hope for the best.
