So odd numbered generations are "soft/hard reboot gens" (Kanto/Hoenn/Unova) and even numbered ones are "expansion gens" (Johto/Sinnoh/Kalos) so we can probably expect mostly new mons in Gen VII.
That said, what are some 'mons who really need/deserve to get an evolution in the next gen? I nominate the three in pic related.
Grumpig looks like a middle stage evolution, and is a waste of Spoink.
Wormadam is a neat concept, it needs three evolutions where it's Bug/Grass, Bug/Ground, and Bug Steel.
Carbink is a neat design, why doesn't it evolve? I get that it's related to Diancie, but can't it get an evolution into a lesser stone than diamond?
