>>25243762IVs, natures, and yes even shininess was a mistake. When you subject the players to bullshit RNG to get competitive pokemon, 9/10 of us will cheat to achieve our ends. I also think shinies weren't necessarily a bad idea, but suffered from poor execution. Very few shinies are actually an improvement upon the original color scheme, and most are hot pink, green, or other garish colors.
