Completely unpredictable.

My estimate (not a deadline, just a guess for when it will happen) for us being done with the base level stuff for 2.0 is in 1-2 months, but that still leaves stuff like testing, implementing feedback from last demo, voting on music, doing tile fixes and such.

He raises a perfectly good point though. There's over 100 fully evolved pokemon to choose from, so you can play the game about 17 times over without doubling up on a single pokemon if you really wanted to, more if you keep your starter in your party every time. If you wanted to play with the canon pokemon then just fire up a main game.

I don't think that means, what you think it means.

Gen 5 proves that's its quite possible to play a full region with a new roster when old pokemon exist.
