There A LOT of unlockables in this game. It's actually kind of overwhelming but great at the same time since you get all the currently revealed Pokemon to start off with besides the Mewtwos and three Support Pokemon pairs. The more battles you win, the more things you unlock like clothes and accessories for your player and Nia, Support Pokemon, and stages.
By the time I got to the Red League I unlocked Winter Ferrum Town and the Haunted House. As soon as I beat the Green League I unlocked Umbreon and Espeon.
Even after a few Free Battles I unlocked Cubone and Diglett.
>>25251379I don't have any amiibo so I didn't use any.
>>25251387The Wii U Gamepad. The controls are kind of weird at first, you got shit like pressing B to jump instead of A.
The game has a rock-paper-scissors system that they call the Battle Triangle or the Combat Triangle, I forgot what it was called. Fighting is split between Attack, Grabs, and Counters. Attacks beat Grabs, Counters beat Attack, and Grabs beat Counters. In one of the Dojo modes it actually shows you a bunch of combos you can do with the selected Pokemon.
The game is a lot more faster paced when you know what you are doing, as in you understand the controls and not just mindlessly button mashing.
