Gen I didn't have a Battle Frontier, Trainer Customization, no GB sounds item, no 3D outside of battle, No Contests at all, no bases, no difficulty options, outclassed later gym leaders swept by one overleveled pokemon, No gym leader rematches, more backtracking than every other game combined, a pointless Safari Zone with two HMs shoehorned into it, no Mirage tower, no Berry blending, Separated Pokecenters and Marts, the worst HMs in the game because you had to go into the pokemon menu to use them, no trick house, no running at all, not compatable with X and Y, the single most overpowered pokemon ever (gen I Mewtwo) no patching, no online contests, no trainers with mega evolutions, no physical bonuses, no dexnav or equivalent extra, the worst wild pokemon variety in the series, No post game at all, team Rocket has shitty pokemon variety and are really easy, and has no Mega Flygon.
Gen I is undeniably shit.
