Meowth is treated with no dignity in any non-Kanto game. Not available in RSE. In DPP, it's a daily Pokemon in Trophy Garden with a 5% encounter rate. DW only in BW. Difficult trade quest in B2W2. Not available in XY. Meowth is only in a daily mirage island in ORAS. _I_ GF. A huge icon in the series treated with zero respect.

Nah, treating it with respect would be giving it an evolution worth using so all your effort pays off.

Its basically rare garbage, marill,pikachu,togepi and riolu at least pay off.

I would say every generation

Gen I it had no moves and was put against Jolteon, Vaporeon or other better Fire types in general like Charizard, Arcanine, Ninetales and Magmar. Gen II its Special became Special Defense and it just kept getting worse from there. The only relief it ever had was finally getting Flare Blitz in Gen VI and it still sucks

You just admitted that "genwunners" are the kind of people who stopped really paying attention to the franchise at Gen 2, maybe Gen 3. You also just inadvertently called every kid who's new to the franchise a loser.

However, I'm sure most kids these days would recognize Meowth as well...if they got up early enough to bother with the cartoon.

An attempt to make a cuter version of an already cute Pokémon was almost certain to flop. After Gen 2 was over, they stopped caring about Pichu until HGSS, and I don't think they bothered again since.
