Anyone use powersaves?

Does it fuck up your cartridges? That's what I've heard, but I also see it used pretty commonly.

kind of interested in it to get hidden abilities for pokemon that are impossible for me to get, but would freak out if my game got deleted.... Help!!!

I don't think PowerSaves can manipulate abilites, but injection is possible for literally everyone with a SD card reader.

Works fine, even if you somehow fuck up your cartridge it has an automatic backup feature so you can just restore it. And yes, it is possible to change pokemon abilities.

Had it for over a year now, and it is still working fine enough for what it is. I haven't tried the HA code personally but have tested the ones like IV/EV editing, and move editing. Worst thing that happened was regarding moveset, where it was just sort of a blanked out spot with 0/0 moves. Could still attempt to fix it in the software or restore to an earlier save like the other anon mentioned.

So even if you get too freaked out about the whole idea, maybe you could find someone to help you with whatever.

However, I don't really trust the codes they added for ORAS to try to make up for Pkhex in regards to generating a Pokemon completely from scratch.

Powersaves is nice to help clear out boxes & hatch eggs though.

I used it to do giveaways here, only deleted my X save once but it wasn't a problem since I restored a previous save state right away.

I was mainly more concerned with my cartridge becoming unusable, than with the save file being deleted since as some of you anons have said, the save restore feature is on it!

If I get it I don't plan on using it for everything. Even perfect IVs arn't super hard to get in this pokemon version unless the guy is unbreedable.

I'm new to Gen6, but when I last played(Gen3) Hidden power was something that was an absolute bitch to get, and it was so crucial for a lot of guys. Much too tedious, thats another thing this might be good for IMO, on top of the hidden ability stuff.

It does rarely brick cartridges, happened to quite a few people including a friend. It often never happens though, so it's usually faulty units. If that ever happens your save will also be lost forever too since Datel doesn't allow restoring the save for another cartridge for whatever reason and doesn't decrypt it so you can't use homebrew to do that as well.

It's also recommended replacing its stock cable with another one since it's very low quality and can lead into errors. It's a common USB cable so you should have a spare one.

The cartrirdge is definetly the worst possible outcome.

cloning all pokes to the pokebank might be a good idea if you use the powersaves...

this, one of the main reasons behind the deletion of saves stemmed from the shit cable packaged with the dongle; get something with a better gauge and you'll be set.

I'm on latest n3DSXL firmware and I can inject fine. Just did browserhax and then it all works, though I do also have menuhax installed for when browserhax is inevitably patched.
