It was never stated as the most powerful, it WAS stated as the origin, but only as far as genetics are concerned.

HOWEVER, there are a number of pokemon directly stated to be inanimate objects driven by some kind of force that has no substance of its own.

I'm thinking of the first Pokemon movie when I think it was said to be most powerful. It could be the professors working on the whole "wtf is Mew" nonsense were idiots too who had no idea how insane Poke-power levels could go.

Seems to be the origin of all pokémon after the creation legends due to Arceus being outside of time and space as well as being the creator of the universe. Also it was never stated as the most powerful, that was Mewtwo. Mewtist believes a parallel universe can magically force a universe that doesn't exist yet (aka nothing just nothing) to follow its laws of physics which will magically sustain itself so mew can cross over, without being scattered into a trillion pieces due to no physics, and bring an egg into existence.

The anime makes up junk all the time that is internally inconsistent. There is no reason to believe it for anything. I will, however, agree that it was made in a time where they had nothing else to work with, so Mew was the best candidate. This has since come into doubt, and the only material on it strictly related to the matter it's DNA forms the core of all other pokemon DNA. It would be an incorrect assumption for anyone involved.

I can't be sure. All I know is that it represents communication, converting thoughts into a form understandable to us. They might possess knowledge of the inner workings of the universe, but I do not think they themselves created it. Their existence would seem to suggest coming after knowledge itself became a thing through Uxie.

That is just a theory that has been taken for fact. None of Hoopa's dex entries or its lore in game(or in the movies for the matter) state that they are between different realities and not just different locations. There is nothing that indicates that the legendaries are from other dimensions besides muh headcanon.
