Kalos isn't ending soon, but at the same time they're not bringing. Truthfully, Cilan was better liked than Iris so if anyone does return it'll be him. Not to mention Iris's special was moved all over the place until they found a time to air it.

Dawn got 10 episodes, besides all the characters got OVA episodes of their own. And by OVA I mean Pokemon Chronicles episode

It usually goes post saga OVA > A few episodes in the second season > Maybe another OVA episode

They didn't start giving characters special episodes until after DP. Pokemon Chronicles mostly focused on Misty or Team Rocket, but they weren't exactly special episodes. Just another series.

Dawn's return in BW was really only 9 episodes. She's only in literally the last 5 seconds of the first episode to hype up her return.

Also its hard to believe that despite Dawn getting 9 episodes to return the writers still managed to screw her over.

She came back for fillers and to bomb early in a tournament to Iris and her Dragonite. Dawn's only win in a tournament was a 3 second montage of Piplup pecking a Granbull. Then we watch her Mamoswine lose to Iris' Dragonite.

After that Dawn did nothing but hang in the background. She has one last training battle with Ash before she leaves and that's it. Besides that, she didn't get any new clothes or any new pokemon captures or evo's from when we last saw her.

I'm surprised they didn't design a new outfit for Dawn even if they already used her Platinum clothes back in DP.

Even for Misty's measly few episodes in Hoenn they bothered to give her a new outfit. May also got her Emerald outfit plus her Wallace Cup dress. Dawn just wore the same clothes.

Yes we are, because there is nothing left in the anime besides the 8th gym badge, Team Flare and the league. You can't extent the anime for like two more years with only so few content left.

It would be weird to not have those Zygarde forms in another gen 6 game but adding things like Magearna makes me think they want to move on to generation 7 already. Hopefully those Zygarde forms will be separated dex entries instead of being gimmick item forms.
