Think, if NX comes 2016 and Gen 7 in 2017, thats only a year after NX has been released. You guys basically win. Heres why... Pokemon usually jumps to new consoles two years after the console has been released. With just one year of console sales, Masuda might have to design a first pair that lasts two years so it can sell enough before the games after. XY was designed to last one year for example -_-. Masuda will have NO EXCUSE to be cheap on Gen 7's first pair unlike XY. As an example, DP was designed to last two years. They will have to make Gen 7's first pair harder for kids to last two years.

GF needed to extend DP's content until Platinum 2 years later. Thats why they made the Natdex so hard to get for kids. Some kids could never figure out that you can see the opposite legendary in a hidden house or even figure out how to use honey trees properly. That left some kids weeks or months without the Natdex. That saved them some content they could play later on. They designed all that extra post-game exploration in DP so it would help it last two years. Swarms were a great way to provide kids a daily Pokemon for a long time but easy for pros to manipulate anytime.

They made most cross evos post-game and hard to obtain so kids had something to do on DP for a few years, Why else would they suck up to giving a Fire Type E4 a Lopunny? It's very easy for long time fans and expert players to get the Natdex and cross evos though. It's just made hard for kids. I agree that the E4 rosters in DP sucked ass though.
