It's just not as good as other things. Therefore its shit. This is especially true since you only get 1 mega.

It's not the best Mega in the world, but it's a decent choice overall. It has its own little niche, so it's not completely outclassed like some Megas.

But you'd be giving up Charizard Y, of course Ninetales does the trick and does it even better since it can hold the Heat Rock, but I usually run the both of them 'cause I don't feel like running manual setters, but you can use Whimsicott I guess

In VGC every mega is bad compared to Kangaskhan.
In Smogon it's somewhat usable in OU. Hurricane / Heat Wave / Roost / U-Turn is a perfectly usable moveset, if still predictible.

Salamence, Mawile and Rayquaza have their place. Kangaskhan can safely fit onto every team and be a reasonable threat to any opposing team, but those three can give great synergy and are a bigger counter to certain top threats.
