I don't know what the meta is like on 3DS but months back when I still played I wrecked the meta in 3v3 singles against randoms with Tyrantrum, nobody ever saw him coming and he was a good counter to a lot of popular pokes.

Though i guess thats not really a fair comparison considering 80 extra stats would make tyrantrum terrifying.

Japanese word for Dragon is Ryu.

Dinosaur is Kyoryu, literally Terrifying Dragon. It comes from the English word, which is derived from Greek for Horrible Lizard.

By the way, similar goes for other things things a lot of people call dinosaurs. Pterosaur in Japanese is Yokuryu, Winged Dragon. Ichthyosaur in Japanese is Gyoryu, Fish Dragon. Plesiosaur is Kubinagaryu, Long Neck Dragon.

Base 70 speed is meh, but it's fast enough to use Dragon Dance or Choice Scarf effectively. Hell, people use Tyranitar for that, which is slower.
