There are certain jobs where 90% of the payment the workers receive is tipping. That's just how it is.
If you can't tip, you shouldn't be going out to eat.
If you simply refuse to tip, you're just an asshole. Plain and simple :)
Btw, minimum wage is not made for people to support families, it's for kids in high school to earn gas and spending money.
