Slowpoke here. Finally finished playing through X and I had a lot of fun. Here's the team I ended up with for most of my run.

>Greninja, Water starters have never failed me and he's pretty awesome
>Talonflame, Sure, let's just give the player a faster Charizard on Route 2
>Gardevoir, Fairy type is fucking broken. Yeah it took me a while to give her a fairy move, but she tore through Team Flare
>Golurk, My solid beatstick and has access to Earthquake? Welcome aboard buddy
>Aurorus, I DON'T CARE HOW MANY WEAKNESSES YOU HAVE I STILL LOVE YOU. Giving the player an Ice type before the second gym is stupid
>Venusaur, My go to guy for catching mons to fill out the pokedex. Plus Poison got a new lease on life to deal with all these new Fairy types

Not sure when I'll decide to grab ORAS, could use a bit of a break from all the catching.
