How do I get back into Pokémon?
I was very into it about two years ago, and I don't remember what happened, but I stopped playing the games, collecting the cards and just keeping in touch with the franchise in general. What would be the best way to get back into it again?

I was in a similar situation as you several months ago. I found out that Pokemon Shuffle Mobile was out and I immediately downloaded it to my phone. I got addicted and it gave me Pokemon fever again.
I started watching the anime again from the beginning (now I'm at XY060), I started playing the games that I never got to play (Platinum, SoulSilver, Black, Black 2). I recently got Pokemon X so I'm catching up now.

Ive also been fapping to more PokeGirl porn, I fapped to normal porn and hentai before I got the Pokemon fever. No regrets.

Just out of curiosity, how long does it take to get caught up on 19 years of a weekly anime like pokemon? Did you skip any filler arcs? Is there a list of filler episodes somewhere? Kinda wish I knew what people discussing the anime here were talking about, but when you look at the number of episodes it's all just so daunting.

I started watching the anime from the beginning around the first week of last September. I had school and work so I couldnt really binge watch to catch up quick, but I watched on average 3-4 episodes a day, 10 on a day off.
I watched EVERYTHING, all movies, all filler episodes/arcs, Pikachu shorts, and side stories.
Like I mentioned, I'm now on XY episode 60 so I'm getting there, should be caught up with the current episode around spring break. I don't know about any list of filler episodes, you might have to go to the anime general.

Inspiring. I'm trying to get back into Pokemon, so I started playing Leaf Green plus Omega Ruby on the side to catch up.
Also trying to collect the event Pokemon this year since I missed a few last year. Sad I'm not going to be able to get the Dragonite event from the Kanto Classic competition...

Tell me about it. Missed events are the bane of my existence. I routinely go 6 months of each year without checking Serebii at all. I remember in the last week of February 2011 I checked it and just barely made it in time to get the Shiny Suicune that unlocks Zoroark in BW. Sadly I had missed the other two shiny legendary dogs. To this day Pokemon 20 Mew, WIN2011 Celebi and WIN2011 Suicune are the only pokemon events I have. But I'm going to make up for that by getting 2 of each mythic distribution on my Y and AS carts.

Me too. I've gotten most of the Gen 6 events, but a few I'm missing.. maybe I'll get lucky and find some way to get them someday.

I'm in the same boat, OP, I was running a very competitive RU team in 2014, and did fairly well in the year's VGC, but couldn't afford ORAS when it came out, so dropped out for a while. Just starting to get back into competitive play, and I have no idea how to counter some of the new megas, and half of my old RU team have been made suspect and are no longer usable in the division.
