Just finished the Legend of Thunder OVA english dub and I have to say it wasn't bad.

It had Gen 2 nostalgia, nice characters, proto-contests, comfy moments, shipping triangle, TR that was surprising decent, Raikou doing his thing, the animation was excellent, the english VAs were decent, Jimmy sounded like Goku the whole time, the OST was First Movie remixes.

What does /vp/ think about the Legend of Thunder?

The dub itself for this one isn't that bad, the problem with The Legend of Thunder dub is that 4Kids cut about 10 minutes of the original out so that they could squeeze it into 3 20-minute episodes to air on CN.

It's one of the least accurate Pokemon dubs ever made, to the point here you start wondering if they even had the original script at all and didn't just mute th audio and make shit up to go with the visuals. >>25281984

I heard Marina's dub voice the other time on youtube for barely 15 seconds and I couldn't stand it. Japanese voice is best, same with Kenta

I would have perfected the original japanese but it is hard to come by so I just stuck with the dub. Fun fact; the human characters all had english voices while the pokemon used japanese voices.
