I know there were no major retypings when the Fairy type was added, it only got added as a secondary type to some Pokemon or substituted the Normal typing on some others, but the the Lake trio should've really been something along the lines of
>Uxie: Fairy/Psychic (Bringer of Knowledge)
>Mesprit: Fairy (Bringer of Emotion)
>Azelf: Fairy/Fighting (Bringer of Willpower)
Just give Moonblast to Mesprit, Aura Sphere to Azelf, Play Rough to the three of them and they're fixed, here's hoping they get Megas/new forms to fix their typings

The problem was that unlike other trios these three didn't vary from eachother. No Ice/Elec/Fire, Elec/Fire/Water, Rock/Ice/Steel, Fly/Elec/Ground. (I didn't even notice Kalos doesn't have a trio til now.)

It's just awkward that both Psychic and Fairy are kind of core to their design, but they really should've had more to differentiate from one another
They all get...

>Confusion
>Imprison
>Swift
>Future Sight
>Extrasensory
>Natural Gift
They each have their own defensive move,
>Endure (UX)
>Protect (ME)
>Detect (AZ)
They each get a vocal motif move,
>Yawn (UX)
>Lucky Chant (ME)
>Uproar (AZ)
And then the following 3,
>Amnesia, Flail, Memento (UX)
>Charm, Copycat, Healing Wish (ME)
>Nasty Plot, Last Resort, Explosion (AZ)
If they'd played up their differences a little more they might have made for more memorable legends. The whole Knowledge/Emotion/Willpower aspect thing will was cool it just didn't really mean much when they all had identicle offensive moves, sans the kamikazeelf.

Stop it. the Mega and Forme shit needs to stop. Pokemon should rely on new Pokemon and evolutions, and story, not adding more horns and armor plating and trying to resell us the same Pokemon over and over.
