In both cases because I started the journey with them. Also they're balk and clutch in battles at least ingame.

I started using it in 5th gen competitive. I just made teams and it always filled a spot for me. It was just a good pokemon all around.

I usually have trouble deciding between Espeon and Typhlosion as my favourite but Psychic is my favourite type so if I have to pick one I pick Espeon

You can't. I have Breloom, Skarmory, Gyarados and Aerodactyl as my favorites but I can't pick my favorite among them.
