>>25303265Just because they announce a special game to celebrate the 20th anniversary doesn't mean that they don't still have plans for Z and/or Delta Emerald. It simply means that this is the next game that they're going to be releasing and are ready to announce. Given, this is all hinging on them even announcing it tomorrow, which they will if they have any brains at all. A 20th anniversary title that isn't announced as close to the actual anniversary as possible is just bad judgement.
If this is the anniversary game, and if the leak is to be believed, I don't think it's at all possible that it's Z. They wouldn't make the third version of whatever generation happens to be current a 20th celebration title, unless they're complete numbskulls. That said, we don't know what it's called since all we have is a code name, so there's no telling, especially with Gamefreak. Even further, if this *is* Niji/Rainbow/Whatever-the-fuck-it's-gonna-be-called being announced, that does not in any way exclude a possibility of Z or Delta Emerald or anything of the sort. It simply means that they've been focused on this title first and foremost and are trying to release it sooner for the special year. We may get some big awesome game here and then next year they'll just quietly drop Z and Delta as a quick cash grab, knowing full well that the anniversary game was way better, but they've already committed to at least Z through all the new promo material, so they have to follow through.
Personally, I just want the direct to be done and over with already so we can know what the news is and be done with all this shit posting about predictions for it.
