Mega Evolutions ruined Pokémon.

Single biggest mistake ever made in regards to the franchise. Megas shouldn't exist.

They're a pretty bad marketing gimmick for making you buy the newest games regardless of generations. Want mega Sinnoh mons? Buy the remakes. They already did it with ORAS.

I agree. Of all the ways they could have made it more successful, they chose the way which made it feel, annoying.
They should have stuck with one mega per mon. Also, they should have taken the effort to give every fully evolved mon one mega. The stones have to go, just make it so that the effect of the held item is negated once it becomes mega.

I don't really like Megas, but I also don't think they ruined Pokemon. As far as gameplay in XY, I thought they were incorporated reasonably well. I just don't like using them and I don't think they look very good in most cases.

Eh, yes and no, I feel like the X/Y megas were mostly given to pokemon who were super popular, but didn't need them (Lucario, Gardevoir, Garchomp, Blaziken), and left most shitmons being shit, while they did the opposite in OR/AS and gave them to pokemon that were fully evolved, but were kinda shitty, and a few to the popular guys.

Overall I guess it's not bad, but it could be better. It's better than shitty designed regular evolutions (Lickilicky)
