Apparently, the leak might be fake...

The original "announcement" came from a fake Nintendo of America account. The Forbes article still says that it might still be true, but I'm now taking the leaked news with a grain of salt.

It came from a trademark registration and nerd leaks was the first to publish it

The trademark is real. Whether they use it or not, I don't know. But Pokemon company is trademarked and it'd be legally impossible to copyright a logo of theirs like this.
