These are the XY sequel, they simply have mascots (and names) changed because of the anniversary

he's implying that it will be like Black2 White2. The game will most likely still be Gen6, with maybe an emphasis on Charizard if he is correct. Charizard being the only gen1 starter to get 2 megas, it's not too far'fetched but more possible than a Gen1 game altogether.

Kalos is heavily linked to Kanto, and the two Mega-Zards are still Gen 6 innovation
It's the perfect compromise for them

I seriously think Charizard got two mega because the huge backlash the were hit with for him not being part dragon.

I wouldn't doubt if they just quickly grabbed a scrapped design and released it as part dragon just to shut everyone up.
