Goddammit I miss that old artwork. Was when life was easy as a kid. Late 90's. Japanese shit was weird and not super popular. Used to pop into a card shop after school and buy jap packs of pokemon cards just because. And when Gold and Silver came out it was the best shit in the world. Not knowing if it was DLS time when I started, fucked up the time completely. Walking around the mall with my grandparents looking at the instruction manual for the pictures. Better fucking times. Fucking take me now.

They pretty much were, really. Story-wise. They're harder to consider 1.5 because of all the new shit they introduced.

SuMo might be closer to a 6.5 type because so many mechanics already exist, and there might not be a whole lot of new to add.

Except they're Gen II. They're hard to consider Gen 1.5 because it's Gen II. All of this "Gen 6.5" bullshit needs to stop.

No. They were gen 2 because the engine was different.

If Sun/Moon look exactly like ORAS/XY and none of the core mechanics are changed you can't really call it gen 7.

The engine wasn't remotely different. G/S/C even still had the Bird type coded, among a lot of other things.

There was a sp. def and sp. atk stat in gen 1? And there were steel and dark types in gen 1? And there were genders in gen 1? Pokemon could hold items in gen 1? I didn't know that!
