I'd love for them to bring back this feature. More than that, I'd love to see it integrated with Pokemon-Amie, somehow.

Imagine being able to interact with your partner Pokemon in a seemingly-open 3D environment, that changes based on your location (route, cave, city, etc.) Bonus points if their can "comment" on certain things (the Pokemon's current HP/PP, happiness level, location, story) and gift items to you.

Except when you tried to take an item they had found on the floor and they refused, and inside caves where they'd get spooked or something. Also, if you just got the 'mon, it's just kind of disinterested
