It's got the benefit of wireless but so does Gen VI. If it has a speed up feature I might consider but GSC are just so much more playable

Not really. Every once in a while, I'll train a new team on one of the gen 1 or 2 games and go through Pokemon Stadium/Pokemon Stadium 2 again. It's not like I haven't played the games for a decade or anything like that, but I guess it's neat to see them getting attention again.

I want to go back to Gen 1's artstyle, but modernized and not dogshit looking. Sugimori art is top tier, and the "monstrous" style of sprites they had for Gen 1 were awesome.

This. It's so hard playing with the 3D sprites in Gen 6 after having an idea of what your Pokemon would look like by your side for over a decade. Fucking Gyarados looks horrible in Gen 6 and I can't even use my main man Tauros without getting upset.

considering getting yellow version, never played it as a kid and it would be fun to have access to gen 1 pokemon in sun/moon. I'm also curious if they'll fix some of the gameplay problems and if so, how much better/worse gen1 might be with modernized gameplay.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised considering how many gen 1 babbies there are and how hard nintendo likes to milk them. You could re-release RBY once a year and the whole "I am le true pokemon fan original 151 only red and blue not ruby and sapphire ok" crew would gladly lap that shit up.
