Kind of lame if you can't actually get Surfing Pikachu.

I wish they'd stop this "no trading HMs" shit and actually give out all of the Pokemon that Japan gets.

For Christ's sake, they're getting a Pikachu with Surf AND Fly.

Dude, surfing!Pikachu was out in the west too back then. You got it from Stadium. Later generations had it too but I can't remember if those were jap exclusive or not. I know I have both flying and surfing Pikachu in ORAS and they're Japanese.

Anyway, it's cool to leave the minigame in. Better this than nothing.

For me the biggest difference is in Yellow you can get all the starters which was a HUGE deal.

red/blue you get the missingo glitch which lets you get unlimited TMs as well as being able to catch Mew via glitch.

exclusive pokemon are a bit too.

oh and Yellow has a little better graphics.

yellow is probably the best if it wasn't for missingo and mew. ironically enough the glitches are what make red/blue so great.

they did take out the missingo method that was common though. cinabar island surfing on the right side. Doesn't look like you can get unlimited TMs either.

They don't mean they took it out for the virtual console. It's always been like that, Yellow doesn't have that glitch. There are many glitches differences between RB and Y.
