And now I wonder, was there no third version this time because X/Y were really that bad or because Nintendo has finally realized that you can make more money by skipping the third game?

It's very strange, it seems like Game Freak had an 11th hour decision to drop Gen 6 like the hot steaming turd it is and start fresh.

Why is this a bad thing? Third versions have always been a jewish tactic, those features should have been in the original pair of games. Maybe since they're dropping the third version, they'll put more effort in the first two games.
