I hope it's that they're trying to make it feel more like an actual country or city.

Since the games are called Sun and Moon, I can see this taking place is some sort of Caribbean island or someplace tropical. Like a beach resort with a big nightlife scene.

We migt get to hop in a vehicle occasionally like we could a Skiddo in XY but I doubt it's permanent transportation.
