So if you can transfer pokemon from the RBY remakes to Sun and Moon, do they keep the Gen 1 exclusive moves? How does this change the metagame? Is Fissure Machamp going to be legal?

pretty sure something like fissure machamp will not work. they will do something like No guard doesn't work with 1hitKO moves or something like this. the only thing that scares me is that sun/moon could ruin competitive forever if they remove the 510Evs and make it like the old games 252evs per stat. that would RIP competitive completely.

As I stated in some other thread, I firmly believe the main reason for these limitations is Powersaves and injectionfags. By blocking the transfer into XY - ORAS, you can't modify it.
Making all transfers through Bank will prevent hacked shit reaching SM.

Also it means the Pokémon will receive its missing IV, nature and ability with SM native algorithms, and the same will apply for any other Bank transfer for good measure.

The pentagon means squat now that we know it's gonna be a new world/new pokémon.
The fact that the official site remarks how you NEED Bank to transfer your pokémon over is a heavy hint that there's not gonna be XY ORAS compatibility.

Tbh I think Sun/Moon will just retcon EV's/natures out, or change how they're implemented if they do anything. Though the movesets don't matter much, most of the good attacks gen1 pokemon get are obtainable elsewhere, and the other shit doesn't matter. I'm sure no guard either won't work on OHKO or they'll just retcon machamp's ability to learn it in game.
