it does. and every game that will be released for the 3ds will do so too.

all 3ds games are made to run with 296mhz. No exceptions. They run with the same rate on o3ds and n3ds. No exceptions. And they will run with this rate.

The only difference is with n3ds exclusive games (only xenoblade so far). This will run on 804 mhz. Thats the rate n3ds is cappable of running games. Thats also the reason why you cant play xenoblade chronicles on an o3ds.

In order to have a better performance you need to manually let the games run on the better rate (804mhz) and thats only possible with homebrew/cfw. Before starting the game you adjust the framerat for example with hans and then will get a better result (only n3ds of course, since only the n3ds can handle 804mhz)

tl;dr: if you do not have cfw/homebrew on a n3ds all games will lag

XL works with games compatible with it.
Seeing as there's a logo for the N3DS in Moon/Sun's trailer, it may support the systems but we won't know for sure until we get word of the mouth. You might want to keep the idea of getting a N3DS in mind.

the n3ds is able to run stuff at 804 mhz (thats almost a third of what the o3ds can handle). And instead of letting stuff run at this better rate, they are like... nope, fuck it. you get the shitty rate, just like your o3ds fellows, for no good reason except fuck you....

And then they wonder why people get cfw/homebrew... its so dumb
