I've been playing the VC release of Yellow for a few hours and this is not true. It usually takes me 3 shots, sometimes 4 or 5 if the pokemon is bulky.

In ORAS I literally 1 shotted my way through the entire game.

It doesn't happen for me. Like I just said, I'm playing Yellow and that's not what's happening. Even against Misty it took 3 thunderbolts to take her Starmie down.

Whatever, autist. One thing I'm noticing too, I actually have to use potions in the gen 1 games. In XY/ORAS I don't think I ever bought potions, let alone used them more than once or twice.

Not like I have anything to prove. I used to be like you, thinking that "hurr the games aren't easier, you're just better!" but after getting the VC release and replaying them for the first time in 10+ years, I now understand that that isn't necessarily true. The newer games are fucking piss easy compared to the first 2 gens.

I played OR and Yellow today.

In OR, I went to through the first 3 gyms without a single Pokemon dying. In Yellow, by the 3rd gym I've probably had all the pokemon on my team die once. I've probably spent half my money on potions, while in OR I don't even use them.

I don't know where this meme came from, but it's not true.

go for Roar, the opposing pokemon attacks you and activates the Red Card sending out the supposed mega evolving ace that takes all that hazard damage AND on the same turn it gets Roared out so it's gonna take more damage when it comes out again (you could also try again with another Red Card)

Not sure if my autistic calcs are correct though, i may just be retarded and not aware of how things actually work

It's a meme used by GameFreak shills that insist the games haven't gotten easier over the years.

I used to believe in that meme, but after playing older games and seeing how ORAS was heavily gimped from RSE, It's a meme I no longer subscribe in.

GameFreak keeps making the games easier in an attempt to recapture young audiences (let's be honest, the average age of pokemon fans keeps going up with every generation) but kids like to be challenged too. The games are entering Animal Crossing territory, and you "hurr the games aren't better, you're just older!" faggots aren't helping.

And criminally nerfed? No, not really. Even then it's better losing two levels than having WILD POKEMON WITH HIGHER LEVELS THAN YOUR ENTIRE GYM just outside the city, like with Surge. Yellow Surge is a special case too, lost 2 Pokemon but gained 4 levels.

How the fuck do you die in first gen outside the E4, seriously.
