It's not going to happen, but Lunatone and Solrock are the literal embodiment of the sun and moon. It'd be cool if they got something like this:

new form of Solrock (mega or not): Fire/Rock

The sun and moon gods are deities and seem appropriate to be fairy. But yea it wont be cool to spam fairy like they did with psychic and dragon.

No they are meteots that came from the moon and sun and may have no connection with the legends from these games and probably won't receive mega evolutions.

GF goes full From software references and makes the Sun legendary a Dark Souls mon and the Moon legendary a Bloodborne mon.

Sun mascot is a Steel/Fire golden armored golem with a medieval aesthetic, and Moon mascot is a Dark/Psychic Lovecraftian squid monster (both being simplified of course).
