>In Zelda you always start off with the bare essentials and gain items in the dungeons you plunder to grow stronger and defeat the evil Ganon or another evil.A Link Between Worlds, Tri Force Heroes, Four Swords, Four Sword Adventures
>In Metroid well it's the same as Zelda pretty much but in a different setting.Metroid became a First Person Shooter with focus on puzzles.
>>25354697>>25354677>>25354675do you guys really want me to point it all out for you? Okay.
Mario was a side scroller Jump 'n Run that later added levels that don't even focus on the Jump 'n Run part, but flying and swiming instead. Later then it became a third person jump 'n run, added an overworld instead of single levels, added quests and made levels more complex that could be seen as areas instead of levels. Later then, it became an isotopic jump 'n run because even the second formula got boring after a while.
Zelda is a completely different experience, every fucking time. it not only switches Artstyles everytime, but the whole gameplay. i mean, theres not a single game out there that has a similar gameplay to Majora's Masks 3 day concept, with the npcs having all a scripted heir own during each day. then there is a Link between Worlds that doesn't even give you an item for your temples, then we have 3 multiplayer titles in there.
it not even hard to point out what metroid did to change the formula.
But Pokemon? the big changes they did were adding new numbers with the 3rd gen to make fights more interesting, and add megas later... to make fights more interesting again.
