4chan only archives a set amount of threads, when a new one archives, an old one is pushed off into the void and lost forever. The purpose of archive sites is to save all threads, not just a few of the most recent. But now we have no site again.

It's not a set amount of threads, it's a set amount of days. Anything older than 7 days gets removed. I mean shit, accidentally clicking the /v/ archive tends to freeze my browser just because of the size.
