The fact is he's hilarious, a beacon of light and good intentions that shines in whatever thread he enters. Nothing "goes to crap" unless the people who obsess over him try to argue against what he perceives as canon, which would make them the derailers, not Richard. Do you really think one guy going "That hasn't been confirmed yet" makes "everything go to crap" or somehow lowers the quality of /vp/ as a whole?
