have you actually spent any time looking through all the different dex entries of the one and same pokemon?
even if you wholeheartedly believe the dex, you've got to admit there's a lot missing from it. It is not "everything you need to know" or "complete"
Even so, there are in fact many dex entries that go against reason, or are even downright impossible.
I really think GF put very little time and thought into the dex, a lot less than they should've
