I made him work in Emerald. He evolves early so ends up carrying early game for a bit. After Brawly he kinda took the backseat and became my Rock Smasher. Then I defeated Winona and he learned Crunch and Take Down. Shortly after I taught him Shadow Ball after climbing Mt. Pyre. He was major help against Liz and Tate and could decimate Phoebe alone.Still rather weak in stats but still a major bro.

This thing fucking sucks lads. I guess I'd probably throw Strength on it for its last attack. I will say having a Yawn guy in-game is fucking fantastic though for catching.

Mightyena's ONLY usable move is Shadow Ball. Unless you just wanna use it as a half-assed HM slave, you HAVE to breed one to make it even remotely fun to use in-game, or at all (in Gen III).

Mightyena is perfectly usable in PvE, especially considering he has two good abiities and access to Fire Fang and Play Rough. Used him recently in AS and he was perfectly fine.

Rampy's whole thing is a ridiculous attack and everything else being a little below average, in fact making the attack 210 just requires 45 points, less than half of the total. Even without minmaxing, a mega rampy would kick ass

It's a fucking beast in 1v1, though.

Again though, it's perfectly usable in PvE, at least more than Bastiodon.

I don't think it is, when I played platinum I was always outrunned by others, and since rampy has paper-thin defenses, it died in one hit of anything it didn't resist
