DPPt did sell more than RSE, but the problem is that they only sold a couple million more, when DS sold almost twice as GBA. In numbers, 27,65% of the people who bought a GBA, also bought RSE, while only 16.38% of the DS buyers got DPPt.

I'm not saying that DP remakes are not happening, actually they probably will at some point; DPPt and BW were very profitable, but not nearly as much as they expected, since DS was their best selling console of all time, surpassing Gameboy and Wii.
